The effects of king size flakes on bacteria covered wood bedding. Bacteria has very different survival rates when tested on various wood types including pine, spruce, larch, maple, beech, oak and poplar samples. When tested with the same initial seed load per gram of wood of the same moisture level, the number of viable bacteria on pinewood was killed off the fastest. Further investigation at the DNA level confirmed that the test seeds were actually killed off in interaction with the pine wood.
